The following people, businesses, and groups have provided donations in excess of $1,000. Without their generous support the Honor Flights we provide would not have been possible. We also want to thank those who have donated in the past and continue to support the Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN.
American Crystal Sugar has donated the entire cost of the beautiful coats each of our flight Veterans received. For many flights, they have seized this opportunity. We know our Veterans treasure their coats and we as an organization are so thankful for your generosity.
The Red River Valley Motorcycle Group has graciously offered to sponsor the duffle bags each Veteran has received for this trip. We are so grateful for their contributions.
Special thanks to our key volunteers on the Honor Flight Event Committee who work tirelessly at weekly fundraising events to support these trips of a lifetime: Jim Aasness, Denise Anderson, Diane Anderson, Kurt Anderson, Bill Bartholomay, Marge Boldenow, Barb Chamberlain, Angie Christenson, Steve Dahlin, David Erickson, Beth Grandbois, Mike Gruchalla, Pam Gruchalla, Macaille Hafner, Karen Harles, Karen Haugen, Tim Haugen, Patty Hendrikson, Rick Houkom, Aubrey Ketterling, Ariel Matejcek, Kiana Matejcek, Sabrina Matejcek, Jolinda Michels, Doug Moderow, Shelby Moderow, Kosta Muller, Skyler Muller, Gracie Schroeder, Kathy Spielman, Jeff Thoemke, and Julia Trautman. Their dependability, dedication, and enthusiasm are unmatched.
We’re grateful that some of our volunteers who live outside the Fargo-Moorhead metro area have organized satellite groups of volunteers in their communities to raise funds and awareness, work with Veterans local to their areas, and serve as event planners. Don and Betty Roberts have spearheaded the efforts in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Kevin and Judy Mahoney, Tim Urness, and Macaille Hafner have established our presence in Alexandria, Minnesota. These offshoot groups have helped expand our efforts and helped us reach more Veterans than ever. We look forward to the possibility of similar efforts happening throughout our Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN hub.
Finally, we send a huge shout out to all the service clubs within our hub’s region for the unbelievable support we receive. Our requests for meeting rooms, event spaces, kitchen facilities, and so on never go unanswered. If it wasn’t for this team effort and their generosity, meeting our goal of giving our Veterans their trip of a lifetime would be nearly impossible!
